การใช้ yyyymmdd นำหน้าชื่อไฟล์ของ STKS

มักจะมีคำถามเสมอว่าทำไม STKS แนะนำให้ใช้ yyyymmdd นำหน้าชื่อไฟล์

Although the date format DDMMYY is used in Britain and MMDDYY is popular in the US, computer systems often use the format YYMMDD. Why ?

Answer:

Computer order files numerically by considering them as a word in a ‘dictionary’, so the YYMMDD format keeps them in chronological order, DDMMYY would keep files created on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc of different months together – much less useful.
